Concrete Pavers

Paver Driveways, Walkways, and Patios That Last

Concrete pavers turn a driveway, walkway, or patio into something you actually want to look at, and they wear extremely well when they are installed right.

The whole job lives or dies on the base: a deep compacted foundation, the correct bedding sand, tight joints, and a solid edge restraint so nothing creeps or sinks. We lay pavers to run off water, not trap it, and we keep the pattern clean and consistent from edge to edge.

  • Extremely hard-wearing — an interlocking surface that flexes without cracking apart
  • A single paver can be lifted and re-laid, so repairs are simple and seamless
  • A huge choice of colours, shapes and patterns to suit your property
  • Textured, slip-resistant finish that adds real kerb appeal and value

What Affects the Price

Every job is estimated after we see it. These are the things that move the price up or down.

1Area size and the paver you choose
2Pattern complexity and the amount of cutting
3Base depth for driveways versus walkways
4Site access and how much spoil is removed
5Steps, curves, or borders in the layout
6Whether an existing surface has to be removed first

Good to know

Concrete Pavers Questions

Are pavers strong enough for a driveway?

Yes, when they are laid on the right depth of compacted base and locked with an edge restraint. We build a driveway base heavier than a patio base for exactly this reason.

What happens if one paver cracks or stains?

That is the advantage of pavers. We lift the single unit, drop in a replacement, and re-lock the joints, with no patch showing across the rest of the surface.

Do paver driveways need sealing?

Sealing is optional. It deepens the color and helps the joints resist weeds and stains. We can seal a new paver driveway once it has settled, or leave you a plan to do it later.

Will weeds grow between the pavers?

We lock the joints with polymeric sand, which hardens to resist weeds and washout. The odd seed can land on top, but it will not push up through a properly jointed surface.

How long does a paver driveway take to install?

Most residential paver driveways are a few days on site, depending on the size, pattern, and base depth. We give you a realistic schedule with the written estimate.
